We've used both pour-in and spray-on Icynene in our home. The product has worked just as we had expected. The installation was in an 1800's row house.

Having North East Spray Foam insulate our old farmhouse was the smartest thing we could have done to begin our renovation. The energy audit showed the west facing wall in the kitchen had absolutley no insulation whatsoever and our fieldstone foundation was a constant source of multi-legged visitors. I recently purchased a house with a new addition (bedrooms) constructed on concrete piles projecting about six inches above grade. The space beneath the bedrooms was open to the elements on three sides with no insulation below the floor. After extensive research into insulating materials, including consultations with residential architects, I selected Icynene foam as the material of choice to provide year-round insulation for these bedrooms.

A represenatative from North East Spray Foam of Warrensburg, NY, came to my home to recommend the proper density foam, provide a quote and schedule the work.

I can't say enough about the crew that performed the work. The crew arrived on time on the promised day and immediately got to work. Although I had attempted to provide adequate access to the space beneath the floor, it was still an extremely tight fit for the crew. Without complaining, they shoveled where necessary in order to apply the product as promised, working straight through until the job was done. I am looking forward to years of comfortable living thanks to an investment that will pay for itself in reduced heating costs.

We had North East Spray Foam install our insulation early this summer and now in mid-July we have noticed that the house is substantially cooler and the a/c runs less frequently than in past years.

North East Spray Foam removed fiberglass batts from the attic floor and applied foam on the underside of the roof.

It was a pleasure to deal with Doug and Mindy for sales and scheduling as well as the two men that did the fiberglass removal and foam installation. These men were polite, efficient and extremely neat. They left absolutely no mess, and could not have been more accomodating.

I just want to thank Doug very much for great news regarding my Icynene Spray Foam! I had been already thrilled with the fact that even though I doubled the size of my home with an addition, I used the same 1 tank of oil (about 250 gallons) and 1 cord of wood to heat the entire house last winter! My home was also much cooler this past summer. The bad news and then greater news was, that after discovering that my new metal roof sprung leaks ( probably due to the weight of 5 feet of snow in 5 days this past winter) there was no need to scrape out the foam and replace the saturated areas as my contractor was afraid would have to happen. This greater news was delivered by Doug and it is because the Icynene does not fail as regular foam would have done if saturated! Yeah for me!! Thanks again! You all do great, efficient, clean work that I would recommend to anyone!

Even at the beginning of the fall season, with the recent installation of North East Spray Foam's insulation in my attic and basement, there is a noticeable difference in the retention of the heat from my boiler or the resistance to outside cold temperatures.

May I also point out that the team who serviced this operation, were both courteous and obviously experienced in the effective application of this product. This old house has been changed for the better. The occupants are more comfortable.

We live in an old farmhouse, which is a conglomeration of additions and improvements from the original 1885 section up until the late 1980's. Last Summer, North East Spray Foam installed Icynene in our attic and the two crawlspaces, replacing existing fiberglass insulation in the attic. So far this winter, our fuel consumption is down by half. I dont know what to do with all the firewood I'm going to have left over.

But, best of all, there's been no sign whatsoever of the horrible ice dams on the eaves of our back roof. That condition had backed up water into the house for years. It had gotten so bad that it shorted out my telephones last winter.

We could not be more pleased with the results of Northeast's work.

Dear Doug,

Please let this serve as a letter of recommendation.

I have an eighty year old house that was built in four phases through the years and had numerous challenges in regards to heating, cooling and insect & small rodent issues as well. The overall comfort of the dwelling was not good. The North East Spray Foam crew did a wonderful job getting into all of the nooks and crannies of our home. With the recent cold snap we have had we now really have a much more comfortable home. We are now realizing lower heating costs and overall lower energy consumption. I'm sure this will translate to saving in cooling next summer as well. For the last 30 years that we have lived here, mice have been a continual issue in the winter. Although this problem has not gone away completely, there are far less in number since Icynene Spray Foam was installed. I'm sure with more sealing outside around the perimeter of our home we can eliminate mice intrusion completely and reduce the insect intrusion as well.

Overall, we are very happy with the installation of the Icynene Spray Foam and look forward to many years of energy conservation and home comfort. With the government subsidized "energy tax credit" and lower energy costs we anticipate payback in a relatively short number of years.

In November, 2009, we called North East Spray Foam to seek their assitance with our ceiling insulating needs. We were very happy with the immediate attention that we received. First, we were very happy to have someone answer the phone. Mindy was able to have a representative at our home within a few hours.

Doug reviewed our problem and the different types of spray foam available. He recommended the open cell with the latex spray water proofing on it. The next day, two service technicians were at our home prepared to do the job. Rob and Tim were very attentive to the work that needed to be done. They spent the whole day completing the work with out taking a break. Rob and Tim were great. They took their job very seriously and were committed to getting the job done correctly. At the end of the day, we called the office and spoke with Mindy, we had to ask her if she sent the companies two best technicians. we are keeping our fingers crossed that this solves our condensation problem. Since completion, there are days in the middle of the winter that just the sun heats the house and I need no heat at all.

On January 1st of this year we moved into our home in Watervliet. Several improvements needed to be undertaken. One of the main improvements was to insulate the 2nd floor and the attic area. For the 60 plus years since the home was built, there was little or no insulation. The winters were cold and the summers were unbearably hot.

After much research it was decided that spray foam was the only way to go to insulate the 2nd floor. Several calls were placed to a number of different companies and estimates were obtained. Sales persons arrived, took measurements and did calculations. When Jack Towne, of North East Spray Foam, the difference was immediate. Jack is not only knowledgeable in the Icynene spray foam product; he is also a believer in Icynene.

A contract was signed and on July 15th Stan and Tanya arrived to install Icynene. Both Stan and Tanya were very polite and courteous and were a pleasure to work with. A 2nd team, led by Luke, also arrived to make sure the job was completed in one day. Jack also arrived and checked to make sure that all was well with the install. One thing is for sure, this is a Company with employees who care.

The next day the temperature was close to 80 but yet the upstairs temperature was very comfortable. WHAT A CHANGE! In an age when so many products don't live up their advertising claims, Icynene does everything you say it does, so far. We are looking forward to a warm and comfortable winter with much lower heating costs. I am one satisfied customer, and will continue to be for years to come. It seems like businesses today forget that people are what business is all about. That's not true of North East Spray Foam. Your company is a great example of what a business can be. I am the ower / operator of Braley Noxon Hardware Store in Warrensburg, NY. The building is a steel building consisting of 10,800 sq. ft. When Geoff Konis of North East Spray Foam approached me with regard to insulating the building with Icynene, I was skeptical. The heating requirements for the building were two 110K BTU Propane Boilers for my radiant slab. The specs called for an R38 in the roof and R19 in the walls.North East Spray Foam sprayed an R25 in the roof and R15 in the walls with Icynene Foam, which exceeded NYS COM CHECK Compliance. I am heating the building with only one of the boilers in below zero temperatures. I am currently using less than 1/2 of the anticipated fuel consumption originally estimated for the building. I couldn't be any happier with the work preformed by North East Spray Foam or with the energy savings I have experienced.

After speaking with Jack Towne, I knew that I was making a good choice for my home. I didn't get a chance to meet the crew that did the work because they got the job done before I got home from work! My wife said that the guys were very professional and the attic looks great.

Jack Towne (Estimator) was professional & good to deal with, knowledgable about both the product & recommended installation.

Installation crew (Luke Donohue & Jeremy) were thorough, hard working & very cooperative. They also cleaned up well.

The house seems quieter and less drafty (It's an old, 140 year old, farmhouse). No experience yet as far as comfort is concerned ( it was only a week ago). I suggest contacting customers after a year or two to. So they have emerical data to report, at least spanning a whole summer and winter.

After hearing about the spray foam from a family friend, I was intrigued. My expectations were exceeded once the application was under way. I was impressed with the "air tightness" of my 2 additions. I wish my whole house was filled with this stuff.

On 2 addtions totaling approx. 1500 sq. ft. we cannot believe the efficency and the little amount of heat needed to warm the area, especially in subzero weather. VERY IMPRESSED! The crew was neat and very thorough!

Dear North East Spray Foam,

Approximately one year ago we made the decision to use Icynene Insulation provided by North East Spray Foam. We had approximately 60% of the ceiling in the Club House sprayed. Prior to spraying we were told that we would ssave money by choosing to remove 12" of fiberglass insulation and replace it with the Icynene Insulation.

It hasonly been a year and we have seen amazing savingsnso far. Our electric bill has dropped by 15% and our propane usage has decreased by 45%. This means that we have saved almosst half the cost of propane compared to the year prior to removing the fiberglass insulation and replacing it with the Incynene Foam Insulation.

When you said that we would save money by choosing to use your product you truly meant what you said.

My Cellar wood working shop has been cold and damp for years. The old furnance was destroyed by a flood in 1956 and replaced with electric heat upstairs but not in the cellar. In the wintercinder block walls would be ice cold and wet with condensed moisture that even formed

frost on the inside walls when it got really cold. Sometimes pipes would freeze that were near the walls.I had ezplored other methods to insulate the walls.

Recently my son recommeded i look intothe use of spray foam insulation to solvemy problems and I am really glad I did.

North East Spray Foam came over and examined my cellar; explained how it worked and how much it would cost.

Problem solved, no more wet walls or cold draft problems and the space between the top of the cellar wall and house was completely filled full of foam insulation. The cellar & house are much warmer and easier to heat. An added bonus is the walls and floor are now dry and even when my portable electric heater is off the temperature has not fallen below 55 degrees. Thanks for a job well done.

We were extremely pleased with North East in all respects of the process, from sales through installation.

We were extremely impressed with the prompt response time to all of our phone calls, which we've found to be rare or non-exsistant from other contractors. When we did request some one to come and inspect the installed product, the response was "We will have a truck there immediately" No questions asked.

The product itself is terrific. We have a 100+ year old home with stud cavities ranging from 4"wide X 10" long to 18' wide X 110" long. Installing figerglass would have been a lengthy and tedious process. North East was in and out in 6 hours. There were other areas, a stone foundation in our crawl space, which fiberglass simply could not have been used.

As impressive as the product is we were more pleased with the people behind the product.

Our house used 938 gallons of propane over the last year which was for heat and hot water. We are very pleased with this fiqure since our house is a one level 1800 sq. ft. home wiith another 1800 sq. ft basement. We are currently in the process of getting quotes for a 40 X 32 foot barn and plan on having Northeast Spray Foam provide the insulation once again. I've noticed an extremely draft proof house. A wonderful change since living in conventionally insulated houses. Although I heat primarily with wood, I heat a 3400 sq. foot house with a modest size wood stove. Try doing that with conventional insulation. One of the best investments I made when building a new home.

We were very surprised we had the bottom of a 28 by 70 foot mobile home foamed by Icynene. We basically had the bottom of our home done for many reasons. The skirting was blowing away, when the wind came up or the kids would knock it in, animals, it just wouldn't stay on. The pipes under our home also have heat tapes on, but would still freeze somewhere under there. To our surprise the winter 2005 we changed from 2-100lb tanks of propane to the 500 gallon tank I didn't receive a bill for that year. When I call in March 2006 which was filled in late October 2005 I was told they forgot us. To our surprise we only used 1 tank of propane. We normally would have used in the past I was on a automatic delivery every month for the 200lbs (2-100lb tanks) if I was forgotten I would run out.

I am writing to express my apperciation for an installation job well done at my home in Adirondack.

A Ranch with a 2' crawl space is not an easy install. You installed your spray foam into all the floor joists, insulating not only the floor but the previously un-insulated duct work. The net result being a warmer floor and warm air coming up through the duct work as soon as the furnace goes on.

Furthermore, the foam applied to the interior of the crawl space block walls has eliminated any infiltration of cold air and now the crawl space is warm even in the dead of winter. No need for heat tracing, no broken pipes...
